Author Dr. Mary Manz Simon writes a wonderful, and beautifully illustrated story of a little boy who packs his picnic basket with food and toys for play, smiling because he knows that God is with him through out the day. He knows that God will always provide for him as he shares his watermelon and sandwich with his friends. When it starts to rain, God will protect him, and his friends as they seek shelter under the umbrella. According to God's words, "I will be with you always" (Matthew 28:20), the boy knows that God will always protect and answer his prayers.
