Résumé du livre

"Here is Marge Saiser again, bringing hope and beauty into the world, this time on the back of Fast Horse. The poems in this collection are distilled renderings of experience, offered in a plainspoken language that uplifts even as it refuses to look away from the darkness of this world. We are all better for having a poet of her talent in our midst, witnessing our times, and helping us see more clearly."

--Karen Getter Shoemaker, author of The Meaning of Names

"Open this gorgeous book to any poem and discover magic, as seemingly mundane moments are wizarded into mystery and meaning. These are vivid poems of place and poignant poems of persons. Saiser's voice-firmly rooted in her Nebraska plains-is as plain-spoken and poetic as the words of a beloved carpenter father and the image of a mother slicing potatoes for a meal that is "possibly holy." "Isn't it marvelous," the poet asks, "the way things are?" Yes, absolutely marvelous because Saiser reveals all their hidden beauty."

--Judith Sornberger, author of The Book of Muses
