The purpose of this book is to explain how to receive the blessings of God. In order to fulfill this goal, we need to know who God is and what he wants from us. We can accomplish this by reading and studying his letter to us, the Bible. The Bible is the story of God. By studying the Bible, we can understand God's plan for the world. Simply put, God has created this universe and all within it. He created us in his image. He loves us and wants us to fulfill his purposes.My people, you are my witnesses and my chosen servant. I want you to know me, to trust me, and understand that I alone am God. I have always been God; there can be no others. I alone am the Lord; only I can rescue you. Isaiah 43:10 CEVAcknowledge that the Lord is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Psalm 100: 3 NLTGod created us in his image. This tells us about God and ourselves. We are emotional beings. God has emotions, He tells us about his emotions. In the book of Exodus God gives the law "Ten Commandments" to Moses. God tells us is he is a jealous God. Our Father does not want us to worship any other gods.You must not worship or serve any idol, because I am a jealous God... But I show kindness to thousands who love me and obey my commands. Exodus 20:5-6 NCVWhy is God a jealous God? Our Father created this world, and for what reason- to give him pleasure. As we expect our children to give us pleasure, so too does God expect pleasure from us.You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power. For you created all things, and they exist because you created what you pleased. Revelation 4:11 NLTHerein, lays the key to receiving the blessings of God. We must please God.With this thought in mind, let us begin our study of How to Receive the Blessing of God.
