Résumé du livre
The production of natural gas from coal typically requires stimulation in the form of hydraulic fracturing and, more recently, cavity completion. The results of hydraulic fracturing treatments have ranged from extremely successful to less than satisfactory. The purpose of this work id to characterize common and potential fracturing fluids in terms of coal-fluid interactions to identify reasons for less than satisfactory performance and to ultimately devise alternative fluids and treatment procedures to optimize production following hydraulic fracturing.
