Résumé du livre
Two finite element computer programs are described in this report. The programs are quite general and are applicable to a number of different problems, including many which may be encountered by the U.S. Navy in building deep ocean structures. The thin-shell solid-of-revolution program can be used to analyze both the axisymmetrically and the asymmetrically loaded shell composed of an arbitrary number of bonded layers, each with a different thickness and different elastic orthotropic properties. The thick-wall solid-of-revolution program can accommodate only an arbitrarily axisymmetrically loaded body of revolution. A sample problem is solved for each of the two computer programs presented in this report. (Author).
