Résumé du livre
Describes a project to examine glacial dispersal and the effectiveness of till geochemical studies in locating zones of high mineral potential in areas of variable overburden thickness. The study area was located in the Nechako River map area, west central British Columbia. In addition, the project compared the geochemistry of till samples with samples previously collected from the B and C soil horizons. Three sites in the study area were examined: the CH mineral property just west of Chutanli Lake, the Blackwater-Davidson property on the north slope of Mount Davidson, and the Uduk Lake property. For each property, the surficial geology and the observed alteration and mineralization are discussed, geochemical results are presented and interpreted, and the till and soil geochemical survey results are compared. Finally, the till dispersal patterns at the three properties are compared, potential sources of geochemical anomalies are identified, and reasons for differences in dispersal patterns on the three properties are discussed. Appendices include tables of geochemical data.
