Résumé du livre

This book explicates a reflective lifeworld research model based on phenomenological epistemology with an emphasis on human intentionality and reflection. With the epistemology established, some methodological principals are outlined for data gathering as well as for descriptive and interpretive data analysis. This book contributes to an exegesis of phenomenology in the context of human sciences scholarship and reveals the similarities and differences between the transcendental phenomenology of Edmund Husserl and the hermeneutic (interpretive) phenomenology of Martin Heidegger. Of significant import is the discourse on how researchers, as residents of the lifeworld, influence or constitute their research results.
