An experimental commercial salmon fishery was conducted in the Deering area of southern Kotzebue Sound in the summers of 1974 and 1975. Aerial and foot surveys were conducted in the Inmachuk River to determine escapement. Chum salmon were sampled for age, sex and length from the Inmachuk River escapement and from the commercial catch.
