The book presents the major designs of private gardens and grounds by Dieter Kienast - the park of the Bad Munder Sanatorium, the grounds of the Swisscom in Bern, the surroundings of the Centre for Art and Media in Karlsruhe, the Furstenwald Cemetery in Chur, the park of the Federal Labour Court in Erfurt, the grounds of Expo 2000 in Hanover and the 2000 International Garden Show in Graz, to name just a few. The projects presented are richly illustrated with planning material and the impressive photos by Christian Vogt. Essays by Dieter Kienast, Udo Weilacher, and Martin R. Dean complete the book.
