The second novel in the J.B Dannan series. J.B. Dannan has just hired a street-smart kid named Anthony, an ex-gangbanger, and has begun training him to be an investigator. But when Dannan is approached by a US Senator and asked to find a staff member's missing child, little does Dannan know that he and Anthony will plummet into a world of drugs and human trafficking, assassination attempts, and a rancher hellbent on burying them. When Dannan is nearly killed, a CIA friend sends a professional to watch over Dannan's young associate. But innocent people continue to die as Anthony wades through human garbage to find the child.
