This book/CD-ROM package seeks to expose students to aspects of sexuality that are amenable to rational inquiry and critical analysis. Coverage progresses from sex and evolution through gender, sexual behavior, pregnancy and childbirth, sexual assault, and sex as a commodity. Learning features include key terms, color photos and illustrations, and boxes on the biology of sex, cultural diversity, research, sexual health, sex in history, and society, values, and the law. The CD-ROM contains review material, exercises, and quizes. LeVay served on the faculties of Harvard Medical School and the Salk Institute for Biological Studies and now devotes his attention to writing.
