For the first time since the revised edition of the Dictionary of American History was published to tremendous praise in 1976, Charles Scribner's Sons is publishing a two-volume supplement about these last 20 years. To review the list of new and revised articles in this supplement is to realise how much has occured during the last two decades. In all, there are 750 new and revised articles.
