In the year since their father's death, June and November Garrett have made a fine life for themselves on their ranch. Romance has bloomed between November and Deputy Cash O'Shea, and June, in her own unorthodox manner has been cultivating her relationship with the sheriff, Henry Redwolf. It would seem an idyllic time in their lives, but for one thing: a band of local outlaws and their scheme to rob a drug delivery van goes terribly awry. When Sheriff Redwolf is shot and laying helpless in the hospital, it will be up to his deputy, Cash O'Shea, and June Garrett to track down the outlaws who attempted to murder the man.
