This collection contains an account book kept by Frederick Odell Conant of Portland, Cumberland County, Me. from 1895 to 1907. Conant records his stamp collection, including foreign and American stamps. He lists who he purchased stamps from, their cost, and who he sold them to. The collection also includes an unsigned agreement with Bertrand L. Drew to sell Conant's stamps (to list 40,000 or more at pending auction in 1914), an 1896 letter and envelope from J.W. Scott, 100 control stamps of the Philatelic Society Sales Department, a celluloid centimeter scale from New England Stamp Co., and a small cutout of the flag of Tahiti.
