This second book of murder, political intrigue and mystery is seen through the eyes of Michael Forster. Michael retired early from MI6 and using his data analyst skills, solves multiple mysteries throughout the book.

The events take place on a European River cruise. From all events this is expected to be a safe and relaxing cruise, when unexpected murders, that on the surface appear unsolvable, start to reveal deeper consequences.

Historical European nationalism is woven into the book's plot including murders, international terrorism and espionage. It is topical and weaves together current fanaticism as well as historical beliefs that influence modern day terrorist events. It exposes a major East versus West plot and focuses on the hatreds that have developed between Russia, Ukraine and Georgia and the ensuing consequences.
