Résumé du livre
The Philadelphia vireo (Vireo philadelphicus) is an uncommon, forest-dwelling, neotropical migrant restricted in British Columbia to the boreal plains and taiga plains ecoprovinces. Because of its restricted distribution and low populations, the species is listed as a sensitive or vulnerable species. This report describes the general biology of the vireo, its habitat and distribution, population size and trends, legal protection status, factors limiting growth and spreading of the vireo population, and the special significance of the species in British Columbia. The report concludes with recommendations and management options to protect the province's Philadelphia vireo population.
