Résumé du livre
This book is about the Brooks family that was founded when Peter Brooks came from England to Virginia in the earliest days of our country, in 1638. We will trace his descendants for nearly three hundred and fifty years, down to present time. They participated in the colonization of the coastal areas of the state, and then moved with the progress of civilization to develop new areas across the state. They pioneered new settlements into the shadows of the Blue Ridge Mountatins in advance of law, the courts and the ministation of the established Church. As the years passed, they scattered across the nation; to Georgia and Florida, to Louisiana and Texas, and the shores of California. Now they are in many states.
