John Davis of Worcester, Mass.," 1864; "Levi Lincoln: LIfe, Services and Character," 1870; "Character of George Nixon Briggs of Pittsfield, Mass.," 1873; "The Character of Governor Emory Washburn," 1878; "The Life and Character of Edward Everett and Marcus Morton ... Contrasted," 1880; "The American Trio: Or the Relative Character of Clay, Webster and Calhoun," 1880. At the beginning of each volume is a letter from Hudson to Samuel Foster Haven (1806-1881) briefly describing the manuscript and offering it as a gift to the AAS.
