Résumé du livre
Monster Fables is a book of two monster stories. The first, "The Boy and the Snockelock," is a love story. The second, "The Old Woman in the Tree," was written strictly for young and older adults. "The Boy and the Snockelock" is a fiction-fantasy story about a 13-year-old boy named Jack who is constantly being harassed by some bullies in town. He contacts his cousin Frank and asks for his help to stop them. Frank is not whom Jack thinks he is. Frank turns out to be a monster named Snockelock from another dimension. Jack soon learns that he is not of this world, but is born to be king from the same world Snockelock comes from. They scare off the bullies and travel to the other world where Jack learns that he needs to complete seven trials and defeat an evil wizard. He also has to defeat some other monsters and creatures as well before he can become the king. He ends up marrying his true love after taking her to the other world and they live happily ever after. There is also a moral at the end of this story.
