Résumé du livre

This article is a study of the multitasking that has become commonplace to the 21st-century office worker suffering an endless stream of interruptions throughout the workday. The problem is that once someone is interrupted, it can take almost 25 minutes to return to the task. Although the interruptions are annoying, the study also reveals that these are often crucial to office work for providing important information. Can we re-engineer interruptions so that the office worker receives all of the benefits but few of the downsides? After consulting many experts, the author contends that Microsoft and Apple need to design computer tasks that are "glanceable," and to break away from the traditional screen format delivery.
