On 6 April 1635 Ralph Farnham (fl.1626-1635), with his wife Alice and their family, sailed from Southhampton,England on the ship "James" to Boston, Massachusetts. They eventually settled in Andover, Massachusetts. Descendants and relatives lived in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Maine, Alabama, New York, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois and elsewhere.
