Résumé du livre
The first half of this stitched notebook - in a schoolboy's hand, signed Jason Williams of Pomfret - contains didactic verse (on contentment, courage, and other virtues), a prose description of Constantinople, and handwriting exercises. The second half consists of mercantile accounts kept by Jason Williams in a mature hand. The accounts, dated 1786, are principally for the sale of cloth in Boston, Newport (to John Brown), New York, Philadelphia, Pomfret, and Providence (to Elijah Williams). Also in this hand are several short verses on liberty and the Revolution.
