The Boones are traced through eleven generations from the original emigrant ancestors, and the comprehensiveness of the work is shown by the fact that the index contains about 15,000 names. There is material on families of undetermined connection, data on families that married into the Boone family in earlier generations, Revolutionary War records, and other material, including, of course, a biography of Daniel Boone.
