Box 1 contains a handbook for the association and minutes from both annual conferences and executive committee meetings. There are also files of reports to the annual conferences from officers, stations, committees, and institutions. Box 1 includes publications, reports, and subject files as well. Of note is correspondence related to an investigative trip made by E.H. Mueller more than three decades before the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELC) and The American Lutheran Church (TALC) began work in Brazil. The files also include publications of some of the German mission groups that preceded TALC Brazil work.
