Richard Knight was born ca. 1605 in England. He emigrated from England and settled in Rhode Island. In 1648 he married Sarah Rogers, the daughter of James and Mary Rogers. Richard and Sarah had six children. Richard died in 1680 while his wife died in 1685. Descendants lived in Rhode Island, Vermont, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, British Columbia, and elsewhere.
