Résumé du livre
This letter is a response from William F. Royce to Senator Gruening's request for his thoughts on restoration of salmon fisheries in Alaska. Royce describes the Fraser River is an example of successful salmon management by the International Pacific Salmon Fisheries Commission. He points out that control of fishing is the key to insure an adequate escapement of each race, and lists six areas of information that Alaska fishery managers sorely need for proper management. He equates eight areas in Alaska as individually complicated to the Fraser River situation. He is concerned that industrial development (dams, logging, oil production) in the state will exacerbate the problems.
