Résumé du livre
A directory of Lareau family names, places, dates, and relationships, beginning with Jacques DeLaRaue of Dieppe, Normandy, France, who came to Québec City in 1656 with his wife, Anne Fosse, and son François. Today, descendants of the Lareau family live in nearly all areas of Québec, but mainly in the counties of Chambly, St-Jean, Iberville, Missisquoi, the city of Montreal and its southern suburbs. Most Lareau families in the United States migrated from these counties between 1850-1870; large numbers were attracted to industrial cities in Michigan, New York, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Illinois. Lareau descendants now live in all 50 states and on five of the seven continents. Descendants spell their name Lareau, Lareault, Larreau, and other varient spellings.
