Old Dr. Archibald considers himself an expert on most things and here he relates his often hilarious views on a Saskatchewan boyhood, on Colorado living, on love, marriage, fatherhood, medicine, retirement, writing, art and many, many other topics. His wife, Laura is shocked to find herself in his stories, most of which she says, "Have only a passing acquaintance with the truth." In sixty years of marriage, she has tried to keep him from floating off like a hot air balloon, but this time it's too late. He's already sent the book to the publisher. She hopes readers will at least take seriously Archibald's ideas about faith.
